Hi, I’m Sherri.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C, LCSW) and Certified Social Worker in Health Care (C-SWHC) — and I’ve spent over a decade sitting with people in some of the hardest moments of their lives.
I’ve worked with individuals navigating grief that doesn’t follow a timeline, anxiety that shows up even when things look fine on the outside, trauma carried quietly for years, and transitions that leave you feeling unrecognizable to yourself. If any of that sounds familiar, you’re not alone — and you’re not broken.
My approach
Therapy with me feels like a real conversation. I’m warm, direct, and genuinely easy to talk to — at least that’s what my clients tell me. I won’t hand you a worksheet and call it a session. I’ll ask real questions, listen carefully, and help you make sense of what’s actually going on beneath the surface.
I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, mindfulness-based techniques, and strengths-based practice. What that means in practice: every session is shaped around you — your history, your goals, your pace. Some people come to process something specific. Others come because they’ve been running on empty for so long they don’t quite know who they are anymore. Both are completely valid reasons to start.
A little about my background
I hold licensure in Delaware, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, Florida, and South Carolina, and I’m a board-approved clinical supervisor in both Maryland and New Jersey. The C-SWHC credential — Certified Social Worker in Health Care — reflects specialized training at the intersection of physical health and mental well-being, which means I bring an integrated, whole-person lens to everything we do together.
I’m also the owner of Delaware Bay Therapy Services (DBA Rising Sails) and the co-founder of a crisis consulting firm focused on human continuity for schools and organizations. I believe deeply that people — not protocols — are what make systems work. That same philosophy guides my therapy practice.
Outside the office
I’m based in Dover, Delaware. When I’m not working, you’ll find me somewhere in nature, lost in a creative project, or planning my next trip.
