Rising Sails offers Grief Intensive Therapy Options.
Deep, focused grief support — concentrated into a format designed for people who are ready to do the work.
Some grief can’t wait for Tuesday at 3pm.
Grief intensive therapy gives you something weekly sessions can’t: extended, uninterrupted time to go deep into what you’re carrying — with a therapist who specializes in exactly this. Whether you’re anticipating a loss, navigating a diagnosis, or simply stuck in grief that isn’t moving, an intensive creates real movement in a concentrated format.
What is a grief intensive?
A grief intensive consolidates months of therapy into a few days of focused, uninterrupted work. There’s no cutting yourself off just as you’re starting to open up. No waiting a week to pick up where you left off.
Some people process better in concentrated bursts. Some can’t fit weekly therapy into their lives. Some have been in weekly therapy for years and need something different to move forward. A grief intensive is built for all of that.
This isn’t your weekly therapy session. It’s an in-depth dive into the grief you’ve been carrying.
Why choose an intensive?
If you constantly reach the end of a therapy session feeling like you had to stop right as you were starting to go somewhere — an intensive is for you.
You might also be in the right place if you’ve been feeling…
- Like you’re functioning on the outside but privately falling apart
- Stuck in grief that isn’t moving, no matter what you try
- Exhausted by carrying fear, loss, or anticipatory grief alone
- Like no one around you really understands what you’re going through
- Disconnected from yourself after months or years of caregiving
- Like weekly therapy isn’t enough, but you don’t know what else to do
This work won’t tell you to push through it, look on the bright side, or that you should be over it by now. It will meet you exactly where you are.
Who this is for
You’re facing an anticipated loss A diagnosis — yours or someone you love — has brought grief that weekly therapy hasn’t touched. You need space to go deeper.
You’re a caregiver in crisis You’ve been holding everything together for so long you’ve lost track of yourself. You need focused time that is entirely about you.
You’re stuck in your grief It’s been months or years. You’re not moving. You’re ready to actually do the work.
You need concentrated support around a medical reality You need a therapist who understands the intersection of medical and emotional grief — not just one or the other.
You have limited time for weekly therapy Your schedule, location, or life circumstances make consistent weekly sessions difficult. An intensive lets you do significant work in a condensed timeframe.
A grief intensive is not suitable for those who are actively suicidal, homicidal, or in acute crisis. If you need immediate support, please call or text 988.
