Something powerful happens when you realize you’re not alone.

There’s a particular kind of relief that comes from being in a room with people who actually get it. Not people who are trying to fix you or move you along — people who are in it too. Who know what it feels like to carry grief that won’t lift, anxiety that won’t quiet down, or a version of yourself you’re still trying to find.

That’s what group therapy is. And it’s coming to Rising Sails.

What’s Coming

I’m currently developing in-person group therapy offerings in Dover, Delaware focused on:

Grief & Loss For adults moving through loss of any kind — a person, a relationship, a version of life they expected to have. A space to grieve honestly, without a timeline, surrounded by others who understand.

Anxiety For adults who are tired of living braced for something. A space to understand what’s underneath the worry, practice something different, and stop white-knuckling it through your own life.

Women’s Issues & Finding Yourself For women who have spent so long showing up for everyone else that they’ve lost the thread back to themselves. A space to reconnect — with who you are, what you want, and what actually matters to you.

Why Group Therapy

Individual therapy gives you depth. Group therapy gives you something different — perspective, connection, and the quiet but powerful experience of being witnessed by people who are walking a similar road.

Research consistently shows that group therapy is as effective as individual therapy for many presentations — and for some people it’s even more powerful. Hearing your own story reflected in someone else’s. Saying the thing out loud in a room full of people and having it land with understanding instead of judgment. Realizing that what you’ve been carrying in isolation is something others carry too.

It changes things.

Join the Waitlist

Groups are forming now. If any of these resonate with you — or if you’re simply curious — I’d love to hear from you. Joining the waitlist doesn’t commit you to anything. It just means you’ll be the first to know when a group is ready to launch, and you’ll have the opportunity to ask questions before deciding if it’s right for you.

Not sure if group is right for you?

That’s a completely valid question — and one worth exploring together. Some people do individual therapy first and move into group later. Others do both at the same time. If you’re curious about whether group therapy might be a good fit, reach out and we can talk it through.
